Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

It's been a while since I last wrote, but things have been very calm. The weather in Louisville today is amazing! Kind of feels like the beginning of spring - we have the windows open and the kids are playing in the backyard. Although it is February and this time of year, around these parts, usually brings snow - I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we start to see something. In the meantime, I'm loving this weather right now! Unfortunately though, local businesses, such as Paoli Peaks are suffering from it. Paoli offers skiing, snowboarding, and one of my favorites tubing! Since the weather has been unusually warm this winter, they are struggling to maintain what snow they do have.

Last year, a new tradition was born. My sister has this group of friends that she has been close to for as long as I can remember. They get together, along with my favorite sister-in-law and myself, and go do some tubing. When our time is up there, we head to French Lick Resort and Spa, that is nestled in the Hoosier National Forest to check in and re-coop. The whole trip is about two hours from Louisville and my mom watches my sister's and my kids, so it's a nice little getaway, yet still close enough. Anyway, the resort has a casino and then at night it turns into a little club. After dinner, we gamble a little, drink a little, and dance a lot. It's a lot of fun! Our tradition is getting close to make its rounds this year and I'm super excited. Just a "girl's getaway" is always a fun time! Especially, since I never get much time away from the kids. I love those little squirts, but some "me" time is a little over due and I'm hoping that the weather doesn't hold us back from Paoli.

My children and I cleaned out the basement. We, more so me, love to gather up old toys and donate them to the less fortunate. It teaches the children a good lesson and at the same time reduces clutter. So, that was our exciting project this week. Now we can focus on some fun things. We love doing artsy things, but I'm not very good at it, but the children are and I love to see the creative side of them come out. Even if it includes one child getting painted. I'm serious, one time, I literally walked into the other room for about 25 seconds, when I came back in - the baby's face was painted green. That's why "washable" art supplies are a must in this household!

I haven't heard from my attorney about Monday's Motion Hour, but she usually responds after the judge does. So, I'm patiently waiting. No news is good news, right?!?

Hopefully, you can get out and enjoy some of this beautiful weather. Have a great day, God Bless, and Much Love!

P.S. Did I forget to mention that today in Louisville is my day?!? Lol! Happy day to me!
